SUPERPOWER BUS

The Superpower Agency are an Edinburgh-based charity committed to raising the literacy rate in Leith. In Collaboration with the good folks at Civic Soup Architecture we were asked to re-imagine their recently acquired library bus as a fantastical superhero lab, to empower and stimulate the imagination of anybody who enters it. The bus also functions as a mobile classroom and shop, accommodating two workspaces for employees of The Superpower Agency, as well as merchandise and books for sale. 

The bus was entirely stripped out, and rebuilt, reusing as much of the original structural materials as possible. Bright splashes of colour and an interesting material palette were chosen to create a fun and interactive environment to capture the imagination of its users.
