The port of leith distillery - shop & tasting
Cork is the main material seen in the shop at the port of Leith Distillery, there’a lot of it! This space serves as the start and end point of the distillery tour.
The reception counter is clad in chunky blocks of solid cork, held in place with tensioned fabric webbing. The structure is made from orange Valchromat and the countertop is a large curved piece of laser cut frosted acrylic. Surrounding the room, between the large windows are various cork clad retail displays, made with timber uprights and valchromat units.
The tasting rooms are simply comprised of engraved Valchromat tables, surrounded by striking yellow PVC strip curtains, that can be drawn or opened to create different room layouts. Two Valchromat credenzas, sit below TV’s and act as serving stations for the tastings.
