the port of leith distillery - entrance, boardroom & toilets

When entering main doors at the Port of Leith Distillery, visitors are greeted with an almost floor to ceiling, mesh screened box holding a neon sign. To the right is a Valchromat clad wall with a large sliding door, that opens to reveal a reception counter, again made from Valchromat and cork. The Valchromat wall has a pattern CNC cut into the face of it, and houses a large TV screen to display tour information

The board room table is a huge, solid oak piece that resembles the deck of a ship. The pattern was achieved by casting black resin into a CNC cut channel. A removable valchromat panel sits in the middle, inscribed with a Leith inspired sailors poem. More work in the boardroom is planned for the future.

The WC’s, located on the seventh floor of the distillery (equidistant from the shop and the bar) have a palate of light grey Valchromat, blue tiles and black sanitary ware.
