The port of leith distillery - bar & restaurant

The bar & restaurant at The Port of Leith distillery is split across two floors, with a mezzanine on the top floor looking down on the main bar area. The bar itself is made from Valchromat and stone, with a gantry overhead and a huge, six metre high steel and glass back bar structure, one of our largest fabrications to date.
The lower level seating area is comprised of engraved, pebbled Valchromat tables and three comfortable booths, with Valchromat slatting and a curtained backdrop.
Moving up the angular cork clad staircase, visitors are met with a large mezzanine area, half of which is screened with a floor to ceiling steel ‘webnet’, which proved to be one of the most technically difficult details of the project to figure out. The seating area on the mezzanine has long banquette, a curtained backdrop and a high table perched on the cork clad balustrade.
Another feature of the ninth floor is the private dining space, framed by steel shelves and boasting an incredible view of Leith docks out the large window. An oval oak table, stained black with the POLD emblem printed on the surface in striking orange, sits in the middle of the space.
