PekoeTea started life in Tollcross, where they have run a successful shop for the past 11 years. Seeking a new location closer to their home, the owners found the perfect spot to be the headquarters of their new ‘tea studio’ concept. With the increasing success of their online business driving sales, the front of the Leith Walk shop was designed with customer experience at the forefront. The brief; to create an environment that would allow the owners to host customers for tea tastings, classes and retail, while the back of the store could serve as the epicentre of their online operation. Our design team introduced a palette of natural materials, taking influence from traditional Japanese interior design to create a simple and calming environment, perfect for tea tastings and an escape from the hustle and bustle.
