Kember and Jones
An institution in the heart of Glasgow’s west end, Kember & Jones has been serving the patrons of Byres road for over 13 years. The popular eating and coffee spot closed it’s doors for one week only to allow the SPLINTR team to completely transform the space which had become tired and dated over its years of service.
The design focussed on creating a fresh and contemporary take on the much loved original interior as well as improving the overall versatility and practicality of the kitchen and staff working areas.
Restoring certain areas of the original fabric of the building such as the original wooden floor and shopfront help to give the space a new lease of life while maintaining the existing charm.
